Type of wholesale customers we deal with
We are happy to deal with a number of wholesale customers who would like to sell our range eg party planners, shops, hair and beauty salons, garden centres, web traders.
Tribe has a right to refuse to deal with any customer/potential customer whose business conflicts with ours or one of our current customers.
Sale or return
A number of customers have asked if we will supply goods on a 'sale or return basis'. We do not offer this facility and goods need to be paid for before being supplied to wholesale customers.
Minimum order value
The minimum order for wholesale customers is £50 (plus P&P) for each order. We will contact any purchaser who doesn't abide by this guideline in order to increase their order to the correct amount.
Pricing
Items on this website are for the product itself and does not include postage and packaging which will need to be added to the order before a final cost is calculated.
Tribe reserves the right to update any prices on the site without prior notice. Due to currency fluctuations there is no guarantee that the cost of an item will always stay the same.
Stock availability
All items on this website are in stock. Once an order is place the only thing you will need to do is wait for your payment to be processed and delivery made. We will do our utmost to let customers know if items are running low by placing updates on the site. Items that are out of stock will not be able to be ordered and will be removed from the site. We will not take payment for items that are not in stock and the cart will let you know if you order a quantity that exceeds our stock levels.
Order turnaround & fulfillment
Fulfillment of orders will be carried out quickly and we aim for a maximum 5 day turnaround from order to delivery, however we usually are able to send out items on the day the order is placed if we have received payment before 1pm (and we are physically able to post the item). If we find any item is out of stock we will contact the purchaser to offer a suitable alternative. Payment has to have been made before any goods are dispatched by Tribe.
Payment processing
Payment needs to have been received (and cleared in the case of cheques) by Tribe prior to goods being dispatched. Payment can be made in numerous ways. The online shopping cart allows you to pay by credit or debit card (using a secure online payment portal or by contact us and we’ll take payment over the phone) and by PayPal but we also accept cheques.
If you pay for goods by cheque your items will be dispatched once your cheque has cleared (this normally takes 4 - 5 working days). We also ask that once orders are placed you contact us if there is going to be a delay in payment (eg holidays coming up). We would normally expect payment to have reached us within 5 working days. If we haven't heard from you we will try and get in touch and if payment still hasn't materialised within another 5 working days we will cancel your order. This rule is in place due to a small number of customers placing orders and then not paying and not responding to communication from us.
Credit card orders and PayPal orders are sent out the next work day. Wherever possible orders received before 1pm will be processed that day. We do not charge a surcharge for credit or debit cards.
Please check that your delivery matches the items you have received and if any item is missing please contact us within 7 days of the goods being received and we will do our utmost to correct the error.
Postage and packaging charges
When orders are placed on this site please make sure the correct wholesale postage is applied - you will need to drop down the postage rates and select the rate that applies to your specific order.
Postage and packaging rates for wholesale orders are as follows:
Total cost of wholesale order between £50 and £100 - P&P costs £4.90
Total cost of wholesale order between £100.01 and £200 - P&P costs £6.90
Total cost of order £200.01 and above - P&P is free
Overseas wholesale orders - £8.50 - £13 anywhere in the world.
Overseas customers should be aware that you may be liable for duty and taxes when items are delivered overseas and enter your country. It's your responsibility to pay these charges
Delivery & packaging
Orders are sent out by Royal Mail as a firstclass recorded delivery package in order for us to be able to track your parcel. We will let you know once your order has been dispatched and you will need to sign for the parcel at your end. Orders are packaged so that no damage will come to your goods when they are sent out. We like to do our bit for the environment so some orders will be sent out using packing materials eg boxes and bubble wrap, which have been used to send items to us. This is obviously only used when materials are in good condition and will protect the items being sent out.
Overseas delivery
If your delivery address is outside of the UK, you may be liable to pay import duties and taxes, once your delivery reaches your country. It is your responsibility to meet any additional charges for customs clearance.
Quality assurance of products
All products sent out by Tribe have been inspected by us when they arrive at our premises, and when they leave, to ensure goods are in perfect condition to sell. We do not send out products that have defects of any kind. We do like people to know that the leather goods we sell are made of quality leather hides but as this is a skin there can be some slight differences in the texture and colour of products.
Returns policy
In the unlikely event that you are unsatisfied with your purchase, due to the item being damaged in transit or is different to the item ordered (eg colour not as expected), Tribe will happily replace the said item or if we are unable to do so we will refund you your money but not postage and packaging costs. In order for the above to happen we will need notification by email within 7 days of the goods being received and the problem.
Please ensure any items you return to us are well packaged and that you have proof of sending (ie recorded First Class) so in the unfortunate instance of the item going astray we can track the item. Once the goods have been returned we will then process your refund.
Returns should be sent to Tribe c/o 1 Hidcote Avenue, Up Hatherley, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL51 3FB.
If we are replacing an item we will cover the cost of postage for the returned item when we send it back to you. If the second item is not suitable you will then be liable for any further postage charges.
Necklaces, bracelets, brooches, belts and key fobs are included in the above policy however we cannot accept earrings for hygiene reasons.
We cannot accept any item that we feel / looks like it has been worn.
Use of personal details
We do not share your details with any third party at all but will use the details you provide us to update you or contact you if we need to.

Use of photographs
Photographs of any of Tribe's products cannot be used without our prior consent. If you do intend to use our photos we will need to know when the images will be used and in what format (ie website, poster, email). If you would like to use any of our images we will need to know the image you require and we'll then forward the relevant image to you.
Termination of agreement
Tribe reserves the right to terminate its agreement with any customer who:
- fails to pay for goods when due
- infringes copyright or passes off
- carries out fraudulent activity
- is reselling Tribe’s products by acting as a wholesaler in their own right.
